NEW YORK CITY — Suzuki was bound to have some fun with the blank canvas that is the 2008 SX4 sedan. And so we now get a glimpse of the tuning potential of the new SX4 with the Street Sport and Touring Editions that were introduced in April.
The Street Sport is equipped with a 143-horsepower 2.0-liter DOHC four-cylinder linked to a five-speed manual transmission. It also gets upgraded with a sport-tuned suspension. Exterior touches include a rear-end spoiler, xenon projector-style headlights and a silver front grille. The Street Sport also gets custom-fitted 18-inch alloy wheels, high-performance Yokohama 18-inch tires and color-painted brake calipers. The cabin is modified with "bone colored" leather seats and trim.
The SX4 Touring model stands out with a striking dark red paint job with high-gloss coating. Like the Street Sport, the Touring edition gets color-painted brake calipers and a silver front grille. The cabin is decked out in "mushroom colored" cloth seats.
