LIVONIA, Mich. — For once, the number 13 is going to be very lucky. A one-of-a-kind 2007 Roush Stage 3 BlackJack Mustang convertible — dubbed Number 13 — will be auctioned off during the March 24 Celebrity Fight Night in Phoenix. The event honors legendary boxer Muhammad Ali.
Roush Performance, in partnership with Sanderson Ford of Glendale, Arizona, is donating the only convertible in the BlackJack stable for the event. As part of the package, the winner gets to have dinner with Jack Roush during the November NASCAR races at Phoenix International Raceway.
The BlackJack convertible hews faithfully to the black-on-black theme of the coupe model. It features the same V8 with a ROUSHcharger system that ups the horsepower to 430, with 400 pound-feet of torque. The car also features a Roush Stage 3 suspension package.
Exterior cues include a matte black 21-inch stripe across the center of the black paint and a seven-piece Roush aerobody kit. Interior upgrades include charcoal leather seating with an embroidered Stage 3 BlackJack logo, white electroluminescent gauges, a billet aluminum pedal kit and a short-throw shifter with black shifter ball. The car comes standard with the Roush carbon-fiber design dash trim kit and embroidered floor mats.
Money raised from the auction of the car benefits such organizations as the National Parkinson Foundation Center of Excellence and the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center at the Barrow Neurological Institute.
