Volkswagen supports the German music prize award ceremony with a low-emission shuttle fleet of 50 VW Polo BlueMotion cars.
The environmentally-friendly Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion is on duty at the ECHO award ceremony. When the German music awards are presented in Berlin on March 25, 2007 artists including international top stars such as Simply Red will drive up to the red carpet in the extremely low-emission version of the Volkswagen Polo. Volkswagen is thus making a clear gesture in support of environmental protection.
Volkswagen is providing 50 VW Polo BlueMotions for the shuttle service at the ECHO award ceremony. The vehicles are an acknowledged pioneer in environmental compatibility and economy. With CO2 emissions of only 102 g/km, the Polo BlueMotion sets a new standard. Thanks to its low consumption of only 3.9 liters of diesel per 100 kilometers and a power output of 59kW/80hp, this particular Polo model has become a bestseller.
According to Stephan Grühsem, Head of Communications at Volkswagen AG: "We are confident that national and international guests at the ECHO award ceremony will welcome the opportunity to experience the advantages of the VW Polo BlueMotion – dynamics, low average fuel consumption and low emissions."
